The work included the construction of an underpass that allows pedestrians to cross between platforms beneath the railway tracks. This measure, supervised by the Valencian Railway Safety Agency, will allow for the closure of the existing surface level crossing.
This project is part of a global safety improvement plan for the network, with a budget of nearly five million euros. It is funded by the European Union through Next Generation EU funds, as part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
Additionally, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana plans to rehabilitate the L'Alcúdia station building. The work will focus on repairing roof damage and other structural elements, with execution scheduled between the end of this year and 2027.
The intervention plan covers a total of 46 actions across 16 municipalities on lines 1, 2, and 3. Specifically for Line 1, over 3.7 million euros have been invested in improvements across stations such as Paiporta, Picanya, Godella, Burjassot, Picassent, Moncada, Carlet, Alberic, and Alginet.
