The exhibition reviews the sporting and personal career of one of Valencianismo's greatest icons, Pep Claramunt, the first Valencian footballer to captain the Spanish National Team. The former Valencia CF player signed the Utiel City Hall's Book of Honor, highlighting the warm welcome received from the municipality.
The inaugural event was attended by the Mayor of Utiel, Ricardo Gabaldón, the Councilor for Culture, Irene Tello, the president of the Valencianista Supporters Club of Utiel, Ángel Martínez, and numerous fans. Claramunt shared a life lesson with the young attendees, encouraging them towards constant self-improvement: "One should never be 100% satisfied; we must always believe that we can improve and go further."
The Valencia CF Foundation and the Peña Valencianista de Utiel organized this exhibition, with the collaboration of the Utiel City Council, the Puçol City Council, and the Provincial Council of Valencia. The display features photographic material and memorabilia from Claramunt's career, aiming to introduce his figure to new generations.
The exhibition will be open to the public at the Exhibition Hall of the House of Culture in Utiel until October 30th. Visiting hours are Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 13:30 and from 17:00 to 20:00. The local government invites all residents and sports fans to enjoy this tribute to a historic figure in Valencian sports.
