The Wine and Tapas Fair, a traditional and anticipated event for residents and visitors alike, has officially opened its doors at Burriana's Terrassa Payà. The inaugural ceremony was attended by the mayor, Jorge Monferrer Daudí, the Falleras Queens, Laura Sendra and Ana Olivas, the Councilor for Festivities, Paloma Boix, as well as other local authorities and members of the municipal corporation.
Following the fireworks display set off by the Falleras Queens, the fair opened to the public, offering a wide selection of gastronomy and wines. It will remain open until Sunday, September 13th. The opening hours are Monday to Friday from 12:00 PM to 12:30 AM, and on weekends it extends until 1:30 AM, serving as a meeting point for festive nights.
Mayor Jorge Monferrer Daudí highlighted the importance of the space: “The Wine and Tapas Fair is a good place to enjoy the start of our festivities all together. We hope that Terraza Payà will be a meeting point and reference for all Burriana residents and visitors from surrounding municipalities throughout the week.” With this opening, Burriana officially begins the festivities in honor of the Virgin of Mercy, which will continue with events such as the Entrance of Peñas and l’Esclafit.
