The Villajoyosa City Council has expanded its Social Services attention and appointment system to La Cala, a densely populated neighborhood, to reduce the need for travel to the town center.

Interested individuals can now visit the administrative extension located at Migjorn street, number 1, to request appointments starting Tuesday, September 8th. Soon, appointments will also be available through the municipal website for procedures or consultations in the neighborhood.
Mayor Marcos Zaragoza highlighted that this measure strengthens a basic service and improves resident assistance, ensuring it is more agile and accessible. He added that La Cala continues to expand its facilities and services.
The Councilor for Social Services, Maite Sánchez, stated that the service will be similar to that offered at the Hogar del Pensionista and will adapt to user needs. A social worker will visit La Cala at least once a week, with additional staff planned for daily attention. The administrative extension operates from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
The City Council aims to enhance support for families, the elderly, and vulnerable groups residing in this area. The department's goal is to promote the well-being and quality of life for all residents of Villajoyosa, fostering a more inclusive and supportive community.
