The event began with a performance by the dance group l’Olivar d’Alaquàs and the screening of a commemorative video. Subsequently, with the presence of the Mayor of Alaquàs, Toni Saura, and the Councillor for Culture, Marta Murciano, the award minutes were read.
In the Arts category, writer Fernando Garrido Redondo was recognized for his cultural, social, and humanistic career in Alaquàs. Garrido, aged eighty-four, possesses extensive literary experience and has received awards such as the Premi Vila d’Alaquàs in 1978. Since 2012, he has published several works, including Fábulas y leyendas del Castillo de Alaquàs. His involvement in Alaquàs includes establishing the first municipal library and active participation in literary associations and workshops.
In the Science, Technology, and Entrepreneurship category, Ramón Cosme Paredes, a graphic designer and founder of DUPLO Comunicació Gràfica, was honored. With nearly four decades of experience in visual communication, Paredes is a benchmark for creative entrepreneurship in the Horta Sud region, continuously adapting to new technological advancements.
The Humanities and Sports, Social Sciences, and Solidarity category recognized Ceferina Marcos Perucho ('Cefe'). For over 40 years, she has dedicated her life to adult education at the Enric Valor Adult Education Center of Alaquàs and the UNPÀS Popular University, leaving a significant impact on hundreds of residents.
