The company Maniquí Teatre, from Sant Joan d’Alacant, will open the festival on Saturday, October 10th, at 8:00 PM with the play ‘Rebeldes posibles’. The following day, Sunday, October 11th, at 7:00 PM, Platea Teatro, from Tomelloso (Albacete), will take the stage to perform ‘Carlota’.
The festival, which is consolidating itself as one of the most important in Spain for amateur theater, will continue over the next two weekends with a program that includes companies such as Comboi Mediterrani (Bétera, Valencia) performing ‘Escríbeme a la tierra’ on Saturday, October 17th, and Suc de Teatre La Tarumba (Alzira, Valencia) with ‘Totus Plautus’ on Sunday the 18th. On Saturday, October 24th, Asociación Cultural Musicales 3C (Tres Cantos, Madrid) will perform ‘Seis, el musical’.
The festival's closing ceremony will take place on Sunday, October 25th, with the awards presentation and a final performance of ‘La candidata’ by Carasses Teatro.
The Councilor for Theater, Rosa Vidal, has encouraged the public to attend the event, highlighting the quality of the selected companies and plays from over 130 submissions.
Tickets for the festival are available on the website www.agendaelda.com, on Thursdays from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Teatro Castelar box office, and two hours before each performance. Individual tickets cost 5 euros, and a pass for all six performances is 20 euros.
