The Town Council of El Ràfol de Salem has received a grant of €71,610 from LABORA – Valencian Employment and Training Service, aimed at hiring unemployed individuals for forest prevention activities, within the EMERGE 2026 program.

This aid will allow for the hiring of workers through contracts linked to employment activation programs. The goal is to improve their employability through work experience, while simultaneously carrying out preventive actions aimed at reducing risks in the territory. These actions include work that facilitates the intervention of extinguishing means and the mitigation of population risks derived from forest fires.
The grant was awarded by resolution of LABORA's General Directorate of Employment and Training, following the corresponding evaluation process of applications submitted by local entities in the Valencian Community. The amount granted amounts to €71,610, which will be entirely allocated to hiring unemployed individuals during the 2026-2027 fiscal year.
This program is financed with funds from the State Public Employment Service and is part of the active employment and risk prevention policies promoted by public administrations.
With this action, the Town Council of El Ràfol de Salem simultaneously strengthens local employment and territorial security, opting for a model of municipality that cares for its natural environment and generates job opportunities.
