The Dénia City Council has declared three days of official mourning, from today, October 29th, to October 31st, as a gesture of support for the victims of an accident.

During the mourning period, the flags of Spain, the Valencian Community, and Dénia will fly at half-mast on the balconies of the town hall building, and the interior of the Plenary Hall will display a black crepe band. These measures have been previously consulted and unanimously approved by the Spokespersons' Board.
The resolution also agrees to publicly express support for the victims with a written statement to be read this afternoon before the ordinary plenary session at 7 PM, followed by a minute of silence in remembrance of those who lost their lives, the injured, and their affected families.
Regarding the children's and youth activities scheduled for Friday the 30th and Saturday the 31st, such as the All Saints' Fair and the Night of Souls celebration, it has been deemed appropriate to maintain them. The aim is to avoid directly transferring the emotional impact of the tragedy and to ensure the right to recreation, play, and leisure activities for young people.
