The Potries City Council has confirmed the award of a 8,674.80 euro grant from the Valencia Provincial Council. The funding, managed through L’ETNO, the Valencian Ethnology Museum, aims to support the activities of the Ángel Domínguez Pottery Museum in Potries throughout 2026.
This contribution is part of the grant program for ethnographic museums and collections. It helps reinforce the conservation, documentation, research, and dissemination efforts of local ethnographic heritage carried out by the museum.
The Ángel Domínguez Pottery Museum is a key venue for understanding Potries' pottery tradition and the significance of this artisanal craft in the municipality's history and identity. Its work preserves the memory of traditional trades, brings heritage closer to the public, and passes it on to new generations.
The grant will facilitate the development of planned activities for 2026, including museum operations, heritage dissemination, collection conservation and documentation, as well as cultural and educational initiatives for various audiences.
The Potries City Council has expressed its gratitude for the support from the Valencia Provincial Council and L’ETNO, the Valencian Ethnology Museum, which helps keep ethnographic heritage alive and supports ongoing conservation and dissemination efforts.
