Utiel welcomes its 2026 Fair and Festivals with an intense program full of tradition, culture, and leisure. The celebration will officially begin tonight with the traditional inaugural ribbon-cutting ceremony at Paseo de la Alameda, led by the Fair Queen, Marta Pérez, the mayor of Utiel, Ricardo Gabaldón, and the festivities councilor, Rubén Murcia.
As a prelude, the fair's exhibitions have opened at the House of Culture, the Municipal Museum, and the City Hall, where a stone sculpture commemorating the DANA, created by artist Gonzalo Trigueros, has been unveiled.
Sunday, September 6th, will be a special day with the traditional pilgrimage of the Virgen del Remedio, declared a Festival of Provincial Tourist Interest. On the same day, Fernando Móner Romero, president of the Economic and Social Committee of the Valencian Community, will deliver the opening speech.
The ten-day program includes concerts, such as Funambulista on Friday, September 11th, and the Remember Utiel Festival on Saturday the 12th. There will also be theater performances like 'Escape Room' on September 11th, and children's and adult musicals, including 'Las aventuras de Moana & Stich' and 'Musical Rêve Cabaret' starring Marlene Mourreau.
The bullfighting lineup features renowned matadors such as Daniel Luque, Emilio de Justo, and Samuel Navalón on Saturday, September 5th. Gastronomy will be present with the paella contest on September 9th and the free 'Caldereta de Bou' tasting on September 12th.
Mayor Ricardo Gabaldón has encouraged residents and visitors to enjoy the activities and thanked the dedication of entities and associations for making a diverse fair possible.
