Firefighting teams, including the Military Emergency Unit (UME), have achieved greater control over the flames in recent hours. Despite this improvement, municipal authorities have indicated that the situation remains variable and that no date has yet been set for the return of evacuated people to the municipality.
The most active focus is currently in the Onda area. Emergency services are maintaining close surveillance for possible flare-ups, such as the one detected in the mine's sunny slope, while weather conditions are expected to facilitate firefighting efforts overnight due to incoming humidity.
The environment in the area remains marked by a high presence of smoke, a phenomenon that has spread across several parts of the province of Castellón. The council has noted that this accumulation does not necessarily imply an advance of the flames, but rather responds to the atmospheric conditions forecast for the day.
