The Pego Trade Fair, previously postponed due to adverse weather, will finally take place on Sunday, September 27th, at Passeig Cervantes. The event, running from 10 am to 8 pm, aims to be a meeting point and a celebration of local commerce, emphasizing its importance for the town's life and future.
According to Raül Tamarit, councilor for Economic Promotion and Creama Pego, behind every shutter that opens there are people, families, and projects contributing to keeping the town alive. The fair seeks to highlight this effort and investment.
Around twenty stalls will display the diversity of Pego's shops, businesses, and professionals, offering a wide range of services and products. Among the participants will be La Gossa Sorda, recalling their 'L’Últim Aquellarre' event.
The day will feature complementary activities for all audiences. In the morning, there will be vermouth tastings and a children's cooking workshop. The afternoon will include a modern dance masterclass, book signings, and inflatables. Additionally, the VII rapid painting contest will be held, with prizes totaling €1,600, provided by the Pego City Council, the Tourism department, and the Association of Merchants and Professionals of Pego, as recalled by Alicia Carbonell, a technician from Creama Pego.
The organization, managed by the Commerce department, Creama, and the Association of Merchants, with funding from the Provincial Council of Alicante, aims for the activity to extend beyond the fairgrounds. Although it doesn't coincide with the Rice Gastronomic Days, some restaurants will offer special menus on Sunday.
Raül Tamarit called on the citizens of Pego and the surrounding region to visit the fair, discover the town, and value local commerce, which offers personalized attention and customer knowledge, contributing to the town's vitality.
The participation of establishments may see minor changes until the date, but as of today, the presence of businesses such as El Raconet de la Potingues, Llibreria-Papereria Isabel, Tot Mobles, Coopego, Xics, Babaanca, Minimenuts, Moda MM, La Rous Productions, Shaddai Sabates i Complements, la Xata Merenguera, Casa Miralles Mateu, En Quadres, Ambra Assegurances, Llibreria-Papereria Arial, Flors Mandràgora, Pego Viatges, La Gossa Sorda, Creama, and Ràdio Pego, which will broadcast live, has been confirmed.
