To date, the municipal office established in Onda has assisted more than 85 residents affected by the forest fire in Vall d'Uixó. The council was the first to launch a specific service to streamline the application process for various aid programs aimed at recovery.
Municipal staff have provided personalized attention to each affected individual, reviewing their cases and resolving queries to help prepare the necessary documentation. The goal is to ensure residents, businesses, and agricultural holders who suffered damages can easily access the aid provided by different administrations.
The Mayor of Onda, Carmina Ballester, emphasized the council's commitment to supporting residents "also in their recovery." She highlighted that the office simplifies procedures that can be complex after such an experience.
The service is intended for those who sustained damages from the fire that impacted part of the Sierra de Espadán and 818 hectares of Onda's municipal area. Assistance will also be offered to affected business owners and self-employed individuals due to confinement restrictions resulting from the emergency.
The Onda City Council reminds the public that the office remains open and available to any affected resident. Appointments can be requested online through the municipal website www.onda.es. This ensures continued support during the recovery process.
