The Institute of Aquaculture Torre de la Sal (IATS-CSIC) has welcomed the start of Erasmus+ internships for two students from the Netherlands. These international placements, managed by the company My Spanish Spot through its coordinator Elisa Beltrán Gea, commenced last September.
Luuk Oldenburger, from the Noorderpoort center in Groningen, will complete a four-month training internship. His research will focus on the Fish Reproduction Physiology group, under the supervision of researcher Ana Gomez.
Meanwhile, Franka Augustine Schrijver, also from the Noorderpoort center, will undertake a similar training internship. Her research will be conducted in the Fish Neurobehavior Laboratory group, guided by researcher Mª Victoria Alvarado.
The primary aim of these internships is for the students to apply the knowledge acquired in their studies, become familiar with the working methods of the CSIC and IATS, practice the Spanish language, and facilitate their adaptation to the country's cultural and social environment.
