The Mayor of Castellón, Begoña Carrasco, met today in her office with the board of directors of the Association of Fan Clubs of Club Deportivo Castellón (ASPECAS), recently established. The aim of the meeting was to strengthen ties between the city council and the albinegro collective to work together for the promotion of the club's social base and associative fabric.
The meeting was attended by the association's president, Alejandro Moll; the vice-president, Manuel Ruiz; and the board member, Sabrina Llorens. The Councilor for Sports, Maica Hurtado, also participated.
Carrasco emphasized the fundamental importance of supporters in the club's daily life, stating that "the 'orellut' fans are the main asset, the indispensable engine for a symbol of the city, with 104 years of history, like CD Castellón. The fan club members and followers not only fill the stadium, bringing color and animation to the stands, but they are the soul and sentiment of our club".
The mayor also highlighted the pride that the loyalty of its fans represents for Castelló, "because on every trip outside the Skyfi Castalia, our fans carry the city's name wherever they go, accompanying the albinegro team. They are an example of passion and the enthusiasm of an entire city in the shared goal of returning CD Castellón to the pinnacle of football".
The representatives of the Association of Fan Clubs presented their projects for the season to the mayor and the Councilor for Sports, which include various activities designed for the participation of CD Castellón fans.
For their part, the mayor confirmed to the heads of the Association of Fan Clubs of CD Castellón the municipal commitment "to maintain close and fluid collaboration to respond to the needs of the fan club collective as far as the Castellón City Council can collaborate".
