Councilor Peyo Lloret held a meeting with residents of the mountain-Alcocons-Robella area to hear their proposals and improve municipal services.

The Villajoyosa City Council continues this year with the Síndic de Barri (Neighborhood Ombudsman) campaign, an initiative aimed at providing more personalized attention to citizens. Councilor Peyo Lloret, responsible for the mountain-Alcocons-Robella area, met with residents at the Maisa Lloret sports center to collect their requests and suggestions regarding municipal services.
During the meeting, conducted in a close-knit format, the councilor listened to citizens to understand their needs firsthand. The Governing Team will subsequently analyze the proposals received with the aim of incorporating them into future actions or providing solutions as soon as possible.
The session also served to inform residents about the direct communication channels with the City Council. 'El Pregoner' was highlighted, a dissemination channel on Whatsapp and Telegram that publishes updated information daily and is available in three languages, including English for foreign residents. Additionally, the existence of the 'Vilajoiosa' app was recalled, through which incidents can be reported and municipal information accessed.
Attendees also had the opportunity to answer 'in situ' a survey launched by the City Council on its municipal website. This survey allows citizens to provide feedback on the management and satisfaction of the services offered by the council. The questionnaire is also accessible from the official website of the Villajoyosa City Council, as well as through the digital channels of 'El Pregoner' and the 'VilaJoiosa' app.
The Síndic de Barri initiative was launched in 2023 with the arrival of Marcos Zaragoza's government to the Mayor's office. The municipality was divided into nine areas, considering population density and the characteristics of each zone, to assign an ombudsman to each. These ombudsmen are responsible for overseeing public services and attending to the needs of residents in their assigned areas. Meetings with the neighborhood ombudsmen are held periodically.
Councilor Peyo Lloret is assigned the area extending from the AP-7 to the municipality of Orxeta, and from the road to Finestrat to the municipality of El Campello, including the reservoir area. Other councilors also have specific areas assigned: Carlos Soler (La Ermita and area AP-7 to N-332), Pedro Ramis (Pelayo street to El Campello, Xarco, Montíboli, Paradís, Poble Nou, N-332a to the beachfront), Paco Pérez (N-332 to Los Estudiantes beach, Mediterranean Avenue to the Torres River), Jaime Santamaría (Torres River to La Cala, Talaies, N-332 to the beachfront in this area), Marisa Mingot (Pianista Lozano Avenue to Cemetery Road, Finestrat Road, N-332 to País Valencià Avenue), Ana Alcázar (Varadero Avenue to N-332 and Port Road), Maite Sánchez (urban center, Pati Fosc, Horta, La Torreta, Mitjanet district), and Rosa Llorca (historic center and Centro beach, Pelayo street to Varadero Avenue and N-332a).
