The Borriol City Council has received a grant of 66,000 euros from LABORA, under the EMERGE 2026 program, aimed at hiring unemployed individuals for forest fire prevention activities.

Thanks to this aid, the council will hire four full-time forest workers. These employees will be responsible for carrying out cleaning and maintenance tasks on the municipal paths, with the aim of improving their condition and contributing to forest fire prevention.
The contracts will extend until May 27, 2027, which will allow for strengthening maintenance and protection efforts for Borriol's natural environment. This subsidy is part of LABORA's 2026 call for aid to hire unemployed individuals by local entities in the Valencian Community.
Through this initiative, the Borriol City Council continues to work on maintaining municipal paths in good condition, protecting the natural environment, and reinforcing prevention against the risk of forest fires.
