The activities took place at the Veles e Vents and Santíssim Crist del Bon Encert schools, aimed at 6th and 5th-grade Primary students, respectively. The workshops were led by the Fundación Taller de Solidaridad, an organization specializing in education for social transformation.
The 45-minute session was facilitated by María Subiela Hernández, a social work graduate and expert in international cooperation. The goal was to explore how to build a world without poverty, fostering individual and collective commitment.
The workshop was structured in three parts: 'The World Village', to reflect on inequalities in access to rights and services; 'The Bridge to 2050', where groups proposed actions for a poverty-free future; and the parable of the hummingbird, to raise awareness about the importance of individual effort.
Students' personal commitments were written on cards to be returned at the end of the term. The council thanked the participating schools, the Fundación Taller de Solidaridad, and María Subiela for promoting values such as solidarity and social justice.
