The Cuarteto Macondo, a professional ensemble based in Alicante and Murcia, led by violinist Antonio García Egea, will offer a repertoire that combines baroque music with iconic film melodies. The group, composed of two violins, a viola, and a cello, specializes in reinterpreting major pop and rock hits and well-known soundtracks through the classical string quartet format.
This event, organized in collaboration with the University of Alicante and Veolia, aims to bring chamber music to diverse audiences. The Councilor for Culture, Manuel Casado, highlighted the festival's diverse and high-quality programming, as well as the collaboration with institutions to enrich the cultural offerings of L'Alfàs del Pi.
Tickets are priced at 5 euros and can be purchased in the morning at the Casa de Cultura box office, or on the day of the concert one hour before the performance begins.
The festival, which began on October 3rd, will continue on October 17th with the Orquesta de las Jornadas Hispano-Noruegas and will conclude on October 31st with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Requiem KV 626, performed by the Orquesta Art Creare and a large choir.
