The initiative, part of the PsicoJove program, took place last Monday, September 28th, under the title «How to talk to your adolescent». The session was held at the Teatre de la Plaça and was attended by 22 parents from the municipality.
During the two-hour duration, key aspects of adolescence and family relationships were addressed, including assertive communication, developmental changes, rebuilding parent-child bonds, sexuality, substance use, and school bullying. The atmosphere was one of participation and collaboration between attendees and the organizing team.
We hope to continue generating spaces for support and guidance for families in the municipality.
Subsequently, a dialogue space was opened where attendees could share experiences, ask questions, and offer practical reflections. The meeting concluded with a summary of the main ideas and a commitment to maintain these family support initiatives.
The PsicoJove program is part of the Silla Acoge Dana project, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Youth, Childhood and Equality, under Order JUI/119/2025. This project includes various initiatives for youth, such as healthy leisure, psychological support, emotional intelligence programs, and support activities for centers affected by the DANA.
The Silla City Council positively assesses the participation in this first session and thanks the families for their involvement. Attendees and other parents in the municipality are invited to the next talk in the program, scheduled for October.
