The city of Torrent is preparing to host the fourth weekend of August with six new cultural offerings as part of the 'A la Lluna de Torrent' series, taking place on Friday, August 21st, and Saturday, August 22nd.

The third edition of ‘A la Lluna de Torrent’ presents six new cultural activities this Friday, August 21st, and Saturday, August 22nd. The program will be spread across four emblematic city locations: Plaza de América, Plaza de la Iglesia, the recreational area of El Pantano, and the Plaza de la Unión Musical. The offerings include magic shows, variety acts, music, and open-air cinema.
This initiative, coordinated by various departments including Culture, Youth, Women, Citizen Participation, Social Services, and Festivals, aims to bring together residents of different ages and bring cultural activities to various neighborhoods and residential areas. The mayor of Torrent, Amparo Folgado, highlighted the diversity of the events, which combine magic, humor, performance, music, and cinema, designed for all generations.
Public response has been very positive, consolidating this summer event. On Friday the 21st, Plaza de América will host ‘Achús 2.0’ at 7:30 PM, a family-friendly show focused on humor and interaction. At 10:30 PM, in the same location, Alicia Casañ will present ‘El show de Alicia Casañ’, a variety show featuring music and Spanish song.
Plaza de la Iglesia will be the venue, at 10:30 PM, for a new session of ‘Cinema a la Lluna’ with the screening of ‘El 47’. This film, directed by Marcel Barrena and starring Eduard Fernández, tells the true story of a bus driver who advocated for public transport. The film won five Goya Awards.
On Saturday the 22nd, magic will come to the recreational area of El Pantano at 7:30 PM with a performance by magician Alfonso Bravo, who will present an illusionism show with humor and audience participation. This choice of venues reinforces the goal of extending culture beyond the city center.
The second cinema session of the weekend will be at 10:30 PM in the Plaza de la Unión Musical with ‘Buffalo Kids’, a Spanish animated film recommended for all audiences. To close the night, at 11:00 PM, again at El Pantano, the group El Poleo will perform a pop rumba repertoire.
The mayor encouraged citizens to participate, emphasizing that any corner of Torrent can become a cultural stage, and invited everyone to enjoy these varied and accessible events.
