The National Police have dismantled three indoor marijuana plantations in Aldaia, in an operation that has allowed for the rescue of thirty animals in situations of mistreatment.

The operation, carried out by agents from the Xirivella-Aldaia-Alaquàs Local Police Station, began after detecting high electricity consumption in the Cayo neighborhood. Suspicions regarding illegal connections to power drug crops led to a police deployment, which included seven searches in various properties in the area.
As a result of the operation, officers seized 339 marijuana plants weighing over 35 kilos, along with 2,700 euros in cash and .380 caliber ammunition. Technical equipment used for cultivation, such as spotlights, air conditioning systems, and extractors, was also confiscated, and the illegal connections to the power grid were safely disconnected.
In parallel, the National Police Unit Attached to the Valencian Community, with the support of veterinary services and the Aldaia Local Police, rescued several animals, including horses, ponies, dogs, and chickens, which were found in unsanitary conditions and lacked mandatory identification. Among the items found were infrastructures specifically intended for clandestine cockfighting.
The five detainees have been placed at the disposal of the judicial authority as alleged perpetrators of crimes against public health, electricity fraud, and animal abuse.
