This intervention, funded by the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, covers an area of 12,765 square meters. The work includes expanding rainwater collection capacity and connecting to the irrigation ditch network to facilitate drainage during emergencies.
The construction plan covers numerous streets, such as Juan Bautista Company, Doctor Fleming, Furs, Jaume I El Conquistador, Muelle de la Estación, Murta, Nou d’Octubre, Pintor Ribera, and Pintor Sorolla, as well as the Rajolar and 9 d’Octubre squares.
In addition to sanitation improvements and replacing drinking water pipes, the project includes the comprehensive renovation of sidewalks, roads, lighting, and street furniture. These actions seek to ensure greater accessibility for all residents, especially those with reduced mobility.
The maximum budget for this reform amounts to 3,185,559.02 euros, an investment responding to the damage caused by the DANA on October 29, 2024, when water levels reached up to 1.5 meters in the area.
