The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has confirmed that no significant changes are expected this Sunday in the Valencian Community. However, a slight decrease in minimum temperatures is anticipated in the southern half of the territory. Winds will be light and variable in the morning, shifting to an easterly and southeasterly component in the afternoon. In sections of the northern and central coast, especially in areas exposed to the sea, moderate wind intervals may occur, which could slightly alleviate the thermal sensation despite the high temperatures.
The stable weather situation will continue on Monday, with mostly little cloudy or clear skies across almost the entire territory. In the province of Castellón, maximum temperatures will decrease, while in Valencia and southern Alicante, a slight increase is expected. In these latter areas, thermal values will remain high, particularly in the inland and coastal regions, maintaining the feeling of heat despite the calendar advancing.
Data from the last 24 hours show high extreme temperatures for early September in the provincial capitals. In Castellón, the minimum was 22.6 degrees and the maximum was 33.5. Valencia recorded a minimum of 23.3 degrees and a maximum of 34.6. Alicante registered a minimum of 22.7 degrees and a maximum of 34.5, figures that confirm the predominant heat in coastal and pre-coastal areas.
Regarding the sea, the forecast indicates stability and reduced wave action along the entire Valencian coast. In the coastal waters of Castellón, south-component winds will prevail with force 2 to 4 (Beaufort scale), generating light chop. On the Valencia coast, southeast-component winds are expected with force 2 to 4, potentially becoming variable at times. The sea state will be light chop, with small waves. Finally, on the Alicante coast, winds will be from the east and northeast with force 2 to 3, with the sea in a state of light chop. The maritime scenario is favorable for recreational navigation, although it is advisable to consult Aemet's advisories.
