The extraordinary assembly of Compromís per València ratified this Saturday Mónica Oltra as the candidate for mayor of the city for the municipal elections of May 2027.

The meeting, held at the Jardí Botànic, was attended by party members and representatives from various political and social forces. During her speech, the candidate emphasized the need to prioritize decent housing and social rights as fundamental pillars of her political project.
The coalition seeks to build a collective proposal through permanent dialogue with civic entities and other transformative forces. According to the party, the goal is to restore dignity to public management and give prominence to the city's neighborhoods.
In the vote, the candidacy received broad support from the assembly, with 111 votes in favor, four abstentions, and one vote against. The former vice-president of the Consell reflected on her period of absence and criticized political frameworks that, as she pointed out, impose a worldview contrary to the interests of the social majority.
