The Councilor for Industry, Elisa Guillem, has expressed her satisfaction with the progress of the works for the new access road to the Santiago Payà Industrial Park. The project has executed nearly 800,000 euros, representing 35% of the total budget, after overcoming a temporary halt due to ground movements caused by spring rains.
The intervention, carried out by PAVASAL Empresa Constructora S.A.U., has a total cost of 2,262,248.34 euros (VAT included). In the first 10 months of work, certified execution represents 35% of the total, with 117,000 euros executed in the last month alone.
The initial stages included the removal of the existing bridge, a task that is now complete. Currently, work is focused on consolidating the slope and constructing a retaining wall, followed by the creation of the new road.
Guillem recalled that these works will resolve an issue that arose in April 2012, when a break in the access bridge caused ground subsidence. Since then, temporary solutions had been implemented, and now the definitive solution is becoming a reality.
The councilor emphasized that the new access road to Santiago Payà was established as an industrial priority from the beginning of the legislature. "We are solving a problem that affects the thirty companies in the area and ensuring the development of these industries and the jobs they generate," she stated.
