The men's handball team from the University of Alicante will travel to Salerno, Italy, to represent the institution at the European Universities Games, which take place from July 18 to August 1.

Qualification for this international event comes after the Alicante team was crowned university champion of Spain in 2025. The handball competition, part of the EUSA Games, will begin on Monday, July 27, and conclude on August 1 with the final match.
The European Universities Games are the most important multi-sport event organized by the European University Sports Association. This edition expects the participation of nearly 4,000 athletes from 400 universities across the continent, competing in thirteen different disciplines.
For the University of Alicante players, this experience is an opportunity to test their level against European university teams and consolidate the sporting trajectory they have demonstrated at the national level.
