Through the initiative «Women Who Build Towns, Women Who Protect», the Council aimed to highlight the contribution of women to life in Bugarra and promote equality as a fundamental tool for preventing gender-based violence.
The program included the screening of the documentary «Women Who Build Towns, Women Who Protect» on Friday, March 6, 2026, in the Council Chamber. The activity provided a space to make visible the women of Bugarra and reflect on their role in the community.
Activities continued on Sunday, March 8, with a community gathering that included a communal meal and a performance by a musical duo. This meeting served to commemorate 8M and strengthen bonds among participants.
These actions were funded by the Ministry of Equality, through funds from the State Pact against Gender Violence allocated to the Bugarra council.
