The Vice-Rector for Equality, Inclusion, and Social Responsibility at the University of Alicante (UA), Carmen Vives Cases, has been elected coordinator of RIUGEU (Network of Gender Equality Units for University Excellence) during its XIX Meeting.

The election took place on October 15th and 16th at the University of Málaga, as part of the XIX RUIGEU Meeting. This network brings together all equality units, offices, and observatories from Spanish public and private universities.
RIUGEU serves as a working and exchange space to analyze current challenges and promote joint initiatives for advancing effective equality between women and men in the university sphere. The aim is to integrate a gender perspective into teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and university management.
The University of Alicante's participation in this meeting is part of its cooperative efforts with other universities to share knowledge, strengthen equality policies, and incorporate a gender perspective into university activities.
