The works, promoted by the Department of Public Space and Investments, have enabled the construction of a new manhole at the corner of Fray Luis de Granada street. This new element will complement the existing network, facilitating the infiltration of rainwater into the subsoil and thus preventing the formation of puddles that hinder pedestrian traffic and could affect homes.
For the installation of the new manhole, an excavation was carried out in the street to introduce the concrete collector, which was then properly sealed to prevent leaks. Additionally, the street has been resurfaced from Francisco de Quevedo street, covering more than 1,200 square meters. The project included milling the surface to level the ground, eliminate different levels, and compact the most damaged areas before applying the asphalt layer.
The improvements also covered the adaptation of existing manhole covers to facilitate their cleaning and periodic inspection, ensuring the proper maintenance of the sanitation network. Furthermore, all road markings, including horizontal signage and parking areas, have been repainted to ensure normal vehicular traffic.
