UMH Strengthens International Ties with Visit from Turkish Representative

Representative from the Turkish Ministry of Education visits Miguel Hernández University of Elche to explore new collaboration avenues.

The Miguel Hernández University (UMH) of Elche has welcomed Elif Ayyildiz, a representative from the Ministry of National Education of Turkey, aiming to reinforce institutional collaboration.

The visit, facilitated by Juan Aparicio, director of the Research Institute of Operations Research Center (CIO) at UMH, and Juanjo Milla, a professor at UMH and executive director of Milmoh, seeks to explore new cooperation opportunities in higher education, research, and internationalization.
During her stay, Ayyildiz met with Vicente Micol, the UMH Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Cooperation, engaging in work meetings to strengthen joint university efforts. The agenda also included visits to educational and training entities in the province of Alicante, such as the IES Nit de Albà, the Federation of Metal Entrepreneurs of the Province of Alicante (FEMPA), and the Elche City Council.
Elif Ayyildiz has a background in the Directorate General of the European Union and External Relations at the Ministry of National Education of Turkey, with extensive experience in managing international alliances, including roles as coordinator of international agreements and projects, and a solid background in promoting educational cooperation initiatives at European and international levels.
Through such encounters, the UMH reaffirms its commitment to internationalization by fostering academic exchange and strengthening educational relations between Spain and Turkey.
