The Councilor for Health, Irene Celdrán, has highlighted the importance of this initiative, emphasizing that the prevention of addictive behaviors directly affects the well-being of individuals, especially young people and their families.
The session will place special emphasis on preventing alcohol abuse among young people, a problem that, according to Celdrán, requires proactive action through education, information, and providing tools for responsible decision-making.
The conference will feature professionals from various fields such as health, education, psychology, criminology, and citizen security.
Álvaro Botella, head of the Community Prevention Unit for Addictive Behaviors (UPCCA) in Orihuela, explained that the main objective is to reduce the prevalence of alcohol consumption among young people, as it is the most consumed drug by this demographic group in Spain.
Participation in this conference is free and open to all interested individuals.
