The Almoradí City Council is launching a new initiative to promote its weekly market and the economic activity it generates every Saturday, under the slogan 'Market, Tapas, and Stroll. Your Saturdays in Almoradí'.

During Saturday morning, an information desk will be set up in the Plaza de la Constitución. There, a specially designed bag for this campaign will be given away for free. To receive it, participants only need to present proof of purchase made that same Saturday at any market stall or a consumption receipt from a hospitality establishment in Almoradí, while stocks last.
This initiative aims to combine two key elements of the Saturday experience in the town: shopping at the market and extending the morning by enjoying the local commerce, gastronomy, and urban center.
Almoradí's weekly market, held every Saturday around the Plaza de la Constitución, is one of the municipality's main attractions. Its commercial variety, traditional character, and the influx of shoppers from other towns led to its declaration as a Market of Provincial Tourist Interest in 2011.
The campaign, supported by the Costa Blanca Tourism Board, is part of the 'Mercado Animado' (Lively Market) philosophy, a municipal initiative that has been complementing Saturday's commercial activity with leisure and revitalization proposals for years. Throughout the year, family activities, workshops, performances, cultural routes, and guided tours are organized, turning Saturday mornings into an experience that goes beyond just shopping.
This strategy also responds to the market's importance for the local economy. The Almoradí Commercial Action Plan identifies the market as one of the municipality's key attractions and highlights its impact on surrounding economic activities, particularly hospitality, as well as its ability to attract consumers from other towns.
The City Council emphasizes the goal that 'coming to the market should also mean staying in Almoradí. Buying fruit, vegetables, clothes, or any other product, but then having a coffee, an appetizer, strolling through our streets, visiting our shops, and enjoying the atmosphere we have every Saturday'.
The promotional bag reflects this idea with the slogan 'Market, Tapas, and Stroll. Your Saturdays in Almoradí', alongside the tourist image 'Almoradí, heart of the Vega Baja'.
The tourism councilor adds that 'the market is one of our best calling cards, and we want to continue caring for and promoting it. But we also want to leverage its enormous attraction capacity to benefit commerce and hospitality and ensure that those who come on Saturday not only shop at the market but also experience Almoradí'.
The promotional event will take place next Saturday in the Plaza de la Constitución, where the information desk will be set up for distribution while stocks last.
