Godella Celebrates Senior Week with a Full Activity Program

The Godella City Council has designed a special program for Senior Week, to be held from September 28th to October 3rd, aiming to honor the municipality's elderly population.

Registration for activities requiring it will be open from September 14th to 17th at Villa Teresita, in the afternoon (4:00 PM - 7:30 PM), and on Friday, September 18th, in the morning (11:00 AM - 2:00 PM).
The week will commence on Monday, September 28th, at 7:00 PM at the Capitolio Theater with the opening ceremony. During the afternoon, the documentary “50 Years of Love” will be screened, honoring couples celebrating their golden anniversaries, followed by a toast and musical performances.
On Tuesday, September 29th, the day will include a walk through the orchard starting from the Municipal Slaughterhouse at 9:30 AM. This activity, which requires prior registration, will conclude with lunch at the same location.
On Wednesday, September 30th, at 10:30 AM, the Amas de Casa headquarters will host the workshop “Active Aging: Improve Your Habits, Improve Your Quality of Life,” led by a Social Services psychologist. In the afternoon, at 6:30 PM, the Capitolio Theater will stage a concert by Los Claveles Rojos and students from the Conservatory of Music, followed by a cocktail reception.
On Thursday, October 1st, Villa Teresita will host the Visual and Auditory Health Bingo “Learn, Play, and Win!” at 10:30 AM, organized by Intervisión Expert. This event will require prior registration. Additionally, at 6:00 PM, Enric Valls will give a talk on “Preparing for Retirement,” concluding with a cocktail.
Friday, October 2nd, will be dedicated to the traditional senior championships, with finals held in the morning. In the afternoon, at 6:30 PM, Villa Teresita Park, located in Parc dels Mestres Senabre, will offer a snack of horchata and fartons, followed by an afternoon of bingo. Registration will also be necessary.
Senior Week will conclude on Saturday, October 3rd, with a paella at 2:00 PM in Parc dels Mestres Senabre, followed by the awards ceremony for the championship tournaments. Attendance at the paella will require prior registration.
