The Bellreguard City Council has informed users that the municipal swimming pool will remain closed throughout Sunday afternoon due to a hygiene incident that occurred in the water. This is the third such incident in the past two weeks.
The facility is scheduled to reopen to the public at 11 AM on Monday. The council has issued a statement reminding users of the importance of respecting the pool's usage rules, particularly regarding the access of children still in diapers, who must wear swim diapers to prevent situations that affect other users.
For public health reasons, a complete cleaning and disinfection protocol is necessary before the facility can be reopened.
