The main festivities of Tavernes de la Valldigna will take place from September 10 to 20, offering eleven days of activities designed for the entire population. The program combines entertainment, musical, and cultural proposals that will fill the town's streets.
The Senior Theater Group will kick off the festivities with the traditional opening speech. Throughout the celebrations, there will be concerts, contests, dance and theater performances, and family games.
The first weekend will feature the free concert by La Casa Azul on Friday, September 11, followed by a set by DJ Totote. On Saturday, September 12, the Charangas Contest will be held, celebrating its 20th edition, and in the evening, the musical Chronos.
On Sunday, September 13, there will be a contest for decorated streets and a concert tribute to Nino Bravo by the Societat Instructiva Unión Musical de Tavernes.
The week will continue with performances by local dance schools on Tuesday, September 15, the show España en un Suspiro on Wednesday, September 16, and a day dedicated to the elderly on Thursday, September 17, with a giant paella and a musical tribute to Isabel Pantoja.
The paella night will be on Friday, September 18, accompanied by the orchestra Extream. On Saturday, September 19, the costume night will feature the orchestra Montecarlo.
Young people will have their space with the Remember and Bendita Locura parties on Saturday, September 12, and the Gran Fiesta Joven on Saturday, September 19.
For the little ones, activities such as La Pandilla Pirata (Sunday 13), the Children's Costume Ball (Thursday 17) with Trobadorets, and the children's theater WOW (Sunday 20) have been scheduled.
There will also be traditional events such as the processions of the Crist de la Sang, the Divina Aurora, and the offering to the Virgen de Lourdes.
The festivities will conclude on Sunday, September 20, with the show Pepa by Pepa Cases and a fireworks display.
The Festivities Book, which this year pays tribute to the Grup Escolta La Valldigna for its 50th anniversary and to the Red Cross, can be collected from Monday, August 3, at the Town Hall and the Tourist Office on the beach.
The mayor, Lara Romero, highlighted that the program combines major concerts with traditional events to foster coexistence and town pride. She emphasized the significance of the Festivities Book and thanked the associations for their collaboration.
The Councilor for Festivities, Carlos Torres, stressed the effort and enthusiasm in planning activities, both traditional and new, to encourage citizen participation.
