The festival kicked off with the participation of the Mallorcan group "Pitxorines", who brought popular music and oral tradition to the town. Their performance stood out for connecting popular repertoire with the present musical landscape.
One of the most unique moments of the opening day was the event "Recordant a Josep Piera" (Remembering Josep Piera), a posthumous tribute held at the House of Culture. This tribute commemorated the writer from Beniopa, turning Potries into a hub for cultural and artistic encounters.
The recital featured Ausiàs Garrigós, the festival's director, on clarinet; Àngels Gregori, from Poefesta; and Joan Deusa, from Estiuvers, with Piera serving as the unifying theme.
Attendees also enjoyed a culinary tasting offered by Restaurante Cassoleta, owned by Pep Solà. The festival continues throughout the weekend at various emblematic locations in Potries.
