The Transfusion Center's mobile team will visit the campus to offer students and staff the opportunity to make this selfless gesture, which can be crucial for hospitalized patients. The center reminds everyone of the importance of maintaining blood reserves to meet the daily needs of hospitals.
Blood donations are essential for addressing various medical situations, such as accidents, surgical interventions, transplants, or treatments for cancer and hematological diseases. Each donation is processed to obtain blood components that can help up to three different people, making the participation of the university community particularly valuable.
The drive will take place on Tuesday, October 27, in the Sala Triangular, located on the ground floor of building F on the Gandia campus. Donation hours will be from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM and from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
To be eligible to donate blood, individuals must be between 18 and 65 years old, weigh over 50 kilograms, and be in good health. Men can donate up to four times a year, and women up to three, always observing a minimum interval of two months between donations.
