The exhibition invites the public to delve into a visual universe where light, symbolism, and gold leaf take center stage. The artist, born in St. Petersburg and trained at the UPV's Faculty of Fine Arts in Valencia, has developed a unique style she calls “golden surrealism,” an artistic proposal that combines material, color, and meaning.
Created with oil, acrylic, pigments, and gold leaf, her works explore concepts such as memory, freedom, love, and the human experience. In this context, gold ceases to be merely decorative and becomes a symbol of inner richness and the value of personal experiences. Each painting starts from an idea or emotional state that evolves during the creative process, resulting in compositions open to the viewer's interpretation.
Far from literal representation, Istorik's work proposes a visual language where human emotions and contradictions hold a central place. The use of color, textures, and materials invites viewers to establish a personal relationship with each piece and construct their own reading of the artwork.
The artist has exhibited her work internationally in cities such as Paris, Milan, Seoul, St. Petersburg, Venice, and New York. In addition to her pictorial production, she develops live art projects and participatory actions that bring the creative process closer to the public. She has also founded the Istorik Gallery in Valencia, a space dedicated to promoting contemporary art as a meeting point for artists and the public.
The exhibition “Golden Surrealism” can be visited until October 30th, 2026.
