The difficulty of accessing the labor market for those under 25 in Castellón, marked by a lack of experience and skills mismatch, finds a response in the Incorpora program by the "la Caixa" Foundation. This program, active since 2006, focuses on promoting the labor integration of vulnerable individuals through collaboration with companies and social entities.
Marc Simón, deputy general director of the "la Caixa" Foundation, emphasizes the importance of first job opportunities for young people's futures, stating that "many of them face economic and social barriers or training deficiencies that hinder their access to employment, increasing the risk of exclusion." He highlights the need to support them and connect them with companies to ensure equal opportunities.
In the first half of 2026, the program achieved over 21,000 hirings nationwide for vulnerable individuals, of which nearly 6,000 were for young people facing difficulties. In Castellón, 369 hirings of vulnerable individuals were recorded, including 73 young people.
The program's success is based on the network collaboration of over 400 social entities and nearly 10,000 companies committed to socio-labor inclusion, supported by more than 1,000 professionals specialized in labor guidance and intermediation.
The Incorpora method combines individualized support with business collaboration, designing personalized training and guidance pathways, and identifying the needs of the business sector to facilitate the connection between supply and demand.
The "la Caixa" Foundation also promotes other programs such as CaixaProinfancia, Social Project Calls, and More Childhood and More Youth Employment, which support over 140,000 vulnerable children and young people annually. For 2026, the investment in social transformation will amount to over 700 million euros.
