Alicante-based construction company CHM Obras e Infraestructuras has been awarded one of the lots for the renovation of Algemesí's hydraulic infrastructures, valued at 7.55 million euros.

CHM Obras e Infraestructuras has secured a new contract in the province of Valencia. The company will be responsible for renovating the infrastructures in the San Benet and Santa Bárbara areas of Algemesí, corresponding to lot 2 of the project, for an amount of 7.55 million euros (including taxes). The works will have an execution period of 48 months.
This contract adds to other projects the company has undertaken in Valencia in recent years, including work related to repairing damage caused by the DANA in 2024. The overall project, tendered by Aguas de Valencia, involved a total investment of 24.25 million euros for the repair, adaptation, and renovation of the municipality's drinking water and sanitation networks.
The lot awarded to CHM includes actions on the drinking water supply network (up to DN 200 mm) and the sanitation network (up to DN 2,000 mm). This lot was put out for tender with a base budget of 9.55 million euros including VAT. The agreement was reached after verifying the solvency of the proposed companies and receiving favorable authorization from the General Directorate of Water.
Price accounted for 60% of the proposal evaluation, while the remaining 40% was based on qualitative criteria, such as the work plan, monitoring, environmental management, and machinery availability.
The other lot of the contract, valued at 11.01 million euros, has been awarded to Becsa and focuses on repairing networks in the urban area, including streets such as Cervantes and Germanies.
This award in Algemesí is in addition to other recent contracts for CHM in the province of Valencia, such as the restoration of rural infrastructures affected by the DANA (for 2.69 million euros) and the repair of provincial roads (for 13 million euros). It also includes sanitation works in Utiel for 2.8 million euros.
The company has also recently secured other contracts, including the maintenance of the Civil Guard Academy (718,890 euros), public transport accessibility improvements on the A-2 in Madrid (15.67 million euros), works in Torrevieja (3.58 million euros), participation in the expansion of the Figueres Bypass (Girona), and complementary works on the Mediterranean Corridor (Murcia-Almería) for 25.3 million euros.
Grupo Vallalba, CHM's parent company, closed 2025 with a turnover of 240.57 million euros, representing a 31% increase for CHM Obras e Infraestructuras, with an attributed profit of 9.63 million euros.
