CD Castellón faces its penultimate pre-season friendly this Friday against Hércules, a Primera Federación team, at the Estadio Rico Pérez at 7:30 PM. This match, part of the XXX Trofeo Ciudad de Alicante, will not be televised. The albinegro squad aims to improve its record after the 3-0 defeat against Alavés, their only loss so far in pre-season.
Coach Pablo Hernández will continue to test players for the league opener, scheduled for Friday, August 14th, at 8:30 PM against Real Sociedad B. Before that, on Saturday at 7:00 PM, Castellón will play its final summer match against Levante in La Coma.
New signings have an opportunity to earn a place in the starting lineup. The recently arrived players are continuing to get to know their teammates and adapt to the team's offensive playing style. In other news, CD Castellón has strengthened its reserve team's defense with the signing of Andrés Caro. Developed in the youth academy of Málaga CF, Caro brings experience in Segunda Federación, having previously played for Betis Deportivo and Valencia Mestalla.
