The Pujada a la Montieleta celebrated its 19th edition in Benaguasil this weekend, consolidating itself as one of the most prominent sporting events on the local calendar. The race, organized by the club ACPL with the collaboration of the Benaguasil City Council, registered the entry of 451 runners.
The day was marked by effort, emotion, and the great atmosphere experienced in the town's streets, with numerous participants and residents accompanying the competition's development. In the 10-kilometer race, a total of 380 participants crossed the finish line.
In the men's category, victory went to Mohamed Boutmazguine, with a time of 32:02. Second place went to Octavio Sanchís Penadés (33:53), and third to Luis Agustín Escriche (34:30). In the women's category, Laura Domene García was proclaimed winner with 38:32, followed by Reyes Moreno Barberá (39:03) and Maribel Caro de la Rosa (39:51).
The race also featured local athletes. In the local men's category, Javi Domínguez Garrido was the first classified (38:04), followed by José Soriano Andrés (38:25) and Miguel Aras Bataller (39:12). In the women's category, Laura Herrera Pérez won with 48:20, ahead of Mirian San Valero Peris (50:24) and Mónica Montesinos Monzó (52:59).
The mayor of Benaguasil, Ximo Segarra, accompanied by several council members, was present during the celebration, cheering on the participants. Afterwards, they participated in the trophy presentation ceremony, recognizing the runners' efforts.
With this 19th edition, the Pujada a la Montieleta is confirmed as a benchmark sporting event in Benaguasil, combining competition and popular participation.
