The CECOPAL of Benifaió has updated extraordinary measures due to the forecast of heavy rain and thunderstorms, with the alert level changing from red to orange until 12:00 PM on Friday, October 2, 2026.

As a consequence of the change in the meteorological alert, new provisions have been made to safeguard the health and safety of citizens. Measures include the suspension of outdoor sports and extracurricular activities, the closure of the Municipal Cemetery, as well as parks, gardens, and green areas of the municipality.
Educational centers will continue with indoor classes as normal, but outdoor sports or leisure activities will not take place. Specifically, classes for students at the IES Enric Soler i Godes have been suspended, as the educational center is located in a flood-prone area, following the recommendations of the Generalitat Valenciana.
The Benifaió City Council has shared a link with recommendations from the Generalitat Valenciana for citizens facing intense rainfall episodes. These measures will remain in effect while the orange alert is active and may be modified according to the meteorological situation and instructions from competent bodies.

We appreciate the collaboration and responsibility of all citizens.
