The Benifaió City Council has recognized the trajectory of Mila López Asensi, posthumously, and the Amas de Casa Tyrius Benifaió Association in the tenth edition of the Benifaió City Awards.

The Amas de Casa Tyrius Benifaió Association and the family of the late resident Mila López Asensi have been honored in the tenth edition of the Benifaió City Awards. These accolades were presented following the institutional events of October 9th, in homage to the “reial Senyera”. The Internal Regime Information Commission, meeting on October 6th, proclaimed the winners according to the established regulations.
In the individual category, the award was granted posthumously to Mila López Asensi, known in the municipality as “Tia Mila”, who passed away last February. The jury highlighted her life dedicated to solidarity, generosity, and selfless giving, as well as her discreet yet intense efforts to help needy individuals and families in Benifaió. Her family members emotionally accepted the award.
Regarding the award for local entities, collectives, or companies, this year it went to the Amas de Casa Tyrius Association of Benifaió, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The jury recognized its significant contribution to family well-being and its active participation in the municipality's social events.
The Benifaió City Award aims to distinguish individuals, legal entities, organizations, or collectives who have excelled through their work in artistic, cultural, sports, civic, professional, or research fields, thereby benefiting the interests and the social, cultural, and economic progress of Benifaió.
The mayor of Benifaió, Marta Ortiz, congratulated the awardees, emphasizing that these honors aim to recognize “the work of collectives and individuals who, in their respective fields or through solidarity, perform or have performed very important work for the benefit of society in general”.
