The project, involving an investment of 153,737.80 euros, includes the installation of 84 megaphones grouped into 25 modules. Its activation will enable immediate alerts and safety instructions to be broadcast to the population, even when usual communication channels are inoperable.
In the coming days, residents will be able to hear various sound tests and alert messages from the already installed modules. These checks aim to verify the correct functioning of the equipment and message transmission, while assembly work continues and is expected to conclude in the upcoming weeks.
The system's distribution is organized into nine zones, covering areas such as educational centers, natural spaces, and municipal buildings.
The new municipal public address system will operate autonomously, powered by solar energy and using UHF radio frequency communications. This technology will ensure the ability to issue alerts even during power outages or saturation of conventional telecommunication networks.
