The City Council of Onda is in the final stages of renovating the old fire station, a project named Ágora Onda. The building will be transformed into a multi-functional center housing a UNED campus, library, study spaces, and citizen service facilities.

The municipal investment for this project amounts to 547,000 euros. Currently, work focuses on interior installations, such as the electrical network and plumbing, after the building's structure was completed. Final finishes will complete the transformation of the property, which is part of the municipal program 'Investor Horizon 2024-2027'.
Ágora Onda will consolidate various public services in one location. The project includes a study room and library, a children's area, and facilities for municipal procedures. Accessibility improvements, such as the installation of an elevator and adapted restrooms, are also planned.
The upper floor of the building will be occupied by the UNED Castellón campus, offering face-to-face tutoring in Onda. This initiative aims to reduce the need for students to travel and will also serve other municipalities in the region.
Initially, UNED will offer ten university degrees, with a strong emphasis on engineering and technology. These include Psychology, Early Childhood Education, and various engineering fields (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Electronics and Automation, Energy, Industrial Technologies, Computer Science, Information Technologies, and Artificial Intelligence Engineering). The City Council highlights that this selection aligns with the demand for technical profiles from industrial sectors present in the area, such as ceramics and logistics.

"The recovery of a disused building to concentrate services related to training and municipal attention is fundamental."
