The fire, which originated in the surroundings of Vall d'Uixó, has reached the outskirts of the urban area. This situation forced the evacuation of the population for safety reasons, leaving the municipality, with fewer than 3,000 inhabitants, in a state of constant waiting to resume normality.
The flames have caused material damage in several locations, including the municipal swimming pool, where streetlights, awnings, and vegetation fences were affected. Additionally, damage was reported to a house with a wooden roof, and a vehicle was incinerated on a residential plot on the outskirts.
Security agents patrolling the area have indicated that the return of residents has not yet been authorized, despite the initially planned time being midnight. In urgent cases, such as the need to collect medication or feed animals, police forces have accompanied residents to their homes to carry out essential tasks.
Currently, the local patron saint festivities that were being celebrated have been halted. The population is waiting for municipal authorities to confirm that conditions are safe to return to their homes.
