Local Police have identified a group of youngsters who violated restrictions and entered the Club de Tenis Uxó facilities, situated in the Sant Josep area, one of the zones evacuated due to its proximity to the main focus of the forest fire affecting La Vall d'Uixó.
The incident occurred on Sunday, a day after the area experienced a critical night with homes surrounded by flames. The youngsters climbed over the facility's fence, an act detected by security cameras. Local Police were alerted and proceeded to identify those involved and issue them a fine.
The sports club has described the events as "repugnant acts" due to a lack of empathy towards residents affected by the loss of homes and natural spaces caused by the fire.
The City Council of La Vall d'Uixó, along with other nearby municipalities such as la Vilavella and Eslida, have reiterated their appeals for public responsibility to aid the efforts of security and emergency forces in combating the fire.
