The Burriana City Council has formalized its entry into the Smoke-Free Beach Network of the Valencian Community, a measure aimed at promoting healthy habits and reducing tobacco waste.

This initiative, promoted by the Department of Health and the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, involves the delimitation of smoke-free and aerosol-free areas along the coast. As a symbol of this commitment, the distinctive flag is already flying on the beaches of the capital of Plana Baixa, with a three-year validity period.
At the same time, the council has renewed the signage in bathing areas. The new smart panels incorporate QR codes that allow users to check the summer activities agenda, information on local heritage, and details about the services available in each sector from their mobile phones.
Information accessible through these devices includes the location of points adapted for people with reduced mobility, foot showers, and lifeguard services. These improvements complement the Navilens codes installed last year, which serve to reinforce accessibility and facilitate orientation for visually impaired people.
